Belarus NF details announced

The Belarussian broadcaster have announced the rules for selecting their entry for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.

Songs can be submitted until the 22nd of October and then a jury will pick the 15 best songs for the semi-final that is planning to take place in November. The national final is currently planned for December.

Last year Belarus was not able to qualify for the final, just like in 2011. The last time they qualified was in 2010 with 3+2 and Butterflies.

Running order junior national final Armenia announced

On the 25th of September there was another show on the Armenian television about the Junior Song Contest.
All the participants were involved in this show and they were singing and dancing.

During the show the running order for the national final was chosen. Every participant had to break an ice cube with their lucky number in.
It was also revealed that the winner of the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest would give a special act.
The hosts of the show are Gohar Gasparyan, Avet Barseghyan and Dalita Avanesyan

Finnish broadcaster receives 470 entries

The finnish broadcaster has announced they received about 470 entries for the national selection for the eurovision song contest.

According to the broadcaster there are a lot of female singers and dance acts between the entries.
This come as no surprise because often last year's winner influences the national selections for the next year.

UMK will come back in February 2013 and it hopes to get Finland back into the final.

Belarus is ready for junior national final on Friday

On 28th September, this friday, Belarus will choose their artist for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Amsterdam.

The broacaster revealed some details on how the national final will run.
There will be both new and old names in the finalists, and they will not only give us a very good vocal performance but also a good choreography.

In total the broadcaster has received this year 54 songs.

Almost 700 songs send for Denmark Melodi Grand Prix
Niels Brinck, representant in 2009, submitted a song for the national final.

The deadline for submitting songs ended yesterday and the Danish broadcaster received a record-breaking entries of 692.
Many well-known but also unknown people submitted a song.

Now a professional jury will judge all the songs and will select six songs that will go to the national final.
An additional four places will be awarded by the broadcaster, making a total of 10 songs in the national final.

Last year Soluna Samay represented Denmark and ended 23rd in the final with 21 points.


Albanian dates NF are announced

RTSH has announced the dates for the national finals for esc 2013.
Their national final - called Festivali i Kenges - is being held for the 51st time and will be held from the 20th until 22th December 2012.

The winner of this contest will be the 10th representant for Albania in Malmö.
Full details about the national selection are yet to be announced.

Last year, Albania reached its best place with Rona achieving a 5th place in the final.

Israeli finalists JESC announced

Last weekend the 6 finalists for the national final for Junior Eurovision in Amsterdam are announced.
There was a preliminary selection with 30 songs and there 6 songs where chosen from.

The criteria for the finalists were mainly the EBU-rules and the ability to perform before a big audience, because half of the candidates couldn't sing properly for a camera.

Belgium confirms its participation for Malmö

The Belgian broadcaster, RTBF, has confirmed that they would send an entry for Malmö next year.
There were some doubts in the past if they would find enough money, but probably this is no problem more.

How or when the candidate will be chosen is not known yet.
In 2011 they organized a internet selection , than a semi-final with 32(!) participants on the radio and finally a final with 12.
Altough many people tought Witloof Bay would end last, they barely missed the final with a point.

Lyss Assia will be in Swiss selection

Lys Assia will be for the second year in a row participating in the Swiss selection for Eurovision.
"I am convinced we will make it this time", that's how she announced her new participation.

The first ever winner of the Eurovision Song Contest wants to have another chance and made a team with the famous eurovision writer, Ralph Siegel, who wrote last year's song of San Marino.

Last year's song of Lys Assia "C'etait ma vie" was harshly crititzed by the juries, but now Ralph Siegel and her made something really new and they are excited about it.
The song will be supported by 4 rappers!
The song is recorderd in Munich , Germany and a video will be made in the near future.

And the goal is to win the national final on December 15th and go to Malmö.

Malta kicks off selection for eurovision 2013

The national broadcaster of Malta has started the selection for their national final.
Interested artists and composers can sent songs until 31st of October.
After this deadline, their will be a preliminary round and this round will decide which 24 songs will compete in the semis.
Those 24 songs will be announced at the end of 2012.

The 16 finalists will be decided by jury and televoting.

Will Anouk participate for the Netherlands in Malmö?

Chances are rising that Anouk, the famous Dutch singer, will participate for her country in Malmö nexy year.
There had been some talks between the national broadcaster and the management of Anouk.

TROS, the broadcaster who is responsible for sending the artist, really wants Anouk and already informed to the NOP to not have any national rounds or final.
First, Anouk would not have this privilege and needed to compete with other singers.
But Anouk refused this and says she didn't want to participate in a national final.

Now the odds are changed, and it seems one of the most famous singers in the Netherlands will compete in the biggest music contest.
Her goal will be to produce a real Anouk-song and help the Netherlands to their first eurovision final since 2004.

Dates Norway NF announced

The Norwegian broadcaster has announced their dates for the NF MGP in 2013.
The national final will take place in the Oslo Spectrum on February 9th.
Their will be 3 semi finals who will take place on 19,26 January and 2nd February.

The shows will be hosted by Erik Solbakken, the presenter of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 and Jenny Skavlan, who is model and tv-presenter.

Little interest in JESC in Moldova?

The Moldovan broadcaster, TRM, has extended the deadline for submitting songs for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest until the 14th of September.
As this moment the broadcaster only received 10 songs, and by this it hopes to receives some new ones.

How or when the candidate will be chosen is not known yet.

Estonian national final in March

Estonia will select its candidate for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 on March 2nd 2013.

The rules for submitting an entry for the national final are out.
Interested artists and composers can send their songs until the 10th of December.
A jury then we will listen to all those entries and 20 will chosen to proceed to the 2 semi-finals.
Of those semi-finals eventually five will compete in the national final.

The voting will be done with 50% juries and 50% televoting.
The semi-finals will air on 16th and 23th february.

Icelandic National Final on February 9th

Iceland will select it's song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 on 9th February.
This is being confirmed by Hera Ólafsdóttir by broadcaster RUV.

Anyone who wants to enter can send a song until October 8th.
After this period the broadcaster will evaluate all songs and the semifinalists would be know on the end of the month.
The semifinals will take in January.
