What Malmö want to bring to the fans and Europe

Folkets Park Malmö
The host city of next years Eurovision Song Contest, Malmö , is already making plans how they can impress Europe and the fans coming to them.
A huge shopping centre, a big Eurovision centre and a flexible Euroclub are some of these ideas.

When they convinced SVT to be the host , now they want to impress the rest of Europe.
Fans will feel at home in Malmö because more than 170(!) languages are spoken there.
There will be a lot of Danish fans and Malmö hopes they give the same atmosphere when as the Handball World Cup was playes in Malmö.

The facilities were one of the main advantages in Malmö. You'll have 2 airports only 20 minutes away from Malmö and a train can bring you from Malmö city to the arena.
The ciry will be decorated in the Eurovision weeks.

Also Malmö has some plans to where some eurovision events will take place.
The Euroclub would be located in Folklets Park and would be inside and outside.
The Eurovision village would be in Gustav Aldofs Torg, which is located in the centre of the city.
The welcome reception would be in Malmö Opera, which has a capacity of 1,200 people.

SVT set rules for Melodifestivalen 2013

Only a month after winning the contest, the home country for 2013, set the rules for the next edition of the very popular Melodifestivalen.

From 3rd until 17th September songwriters can upload songs to the website of SVT.
One of these songs will go to Melodifestivalen directly.
These songs must be written by composers who have never published any other work.

Another 15 songs will be chosen through the Regular contest, where any composer can bring on songs and the remaining 16 songs will be invited by SVT itself.
Also foreign composers are allowed to write songs, ONLY if they work together with a Swedish composer.

A little change next year is the disappearance of the Web Joker.
